TRAINING OF SPECIAL PRODUCTION BALANCE SURVEY (SKNP/SEEA)

August 24, 2021 | BPS Activities

BPS has one task, namely to present the publication of the results of several surveys in the Sub-directorate of Consolidation of the Balance of Production, including the Special Survey for the Balance of Production (SKNP) which is integrated with the In-Depth Study SEEA (System Of Environmental-Economic Accounting). In the preparation of the Integrated Economic and Environmental Account System, the guideline used was the 1993 System of Environmental and Economics Account (SEEA). However, along with the times, the manual used has been changed to SEEA 2012 which has been internationally agreed upon to become the guideline for the preparation of the new Sisnerling. Therefore, the implementation of SEEA 2012 in Sisnerling Indonesia is carried out so that the Indonesian environmental balance standard has a comparative value with the international world.

BPS is currently implementing the 2008 National Account System (SNA), where one of the recommendations is the preparation of the Provision and Use Table (TPP). BPS began to gradually implement the concepts, definitions and methodologies contained in the 2008 SNA into the Indonesian TPP. So for this purpose, apart from data obtained from internal BPS, as well as from outside BPS, other complementary data are still needed. This complementary data was obtained through a special survey, namely the 2015 Production Balance Special Survey (SKNP-2015). In addition, the income and expenditure data obtained from the implementation of the Special Production Balance Survey (SKNP) can be used by the provincial BPS to obtain an intermediate consumption ratio which is useful for calculating the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) by business field.

The publications presented from each survey are the result of data collection in the field. Preparedness in the field is needed so that the data produced is of high quality, so that it can support the policies taken by the government. In addition, accurate and valid data are also useful for academics and stakeholders in terms of research and conclusion. The success of data collection in the field, one of which depends on the data collection officer. The competence and ability of officers in collecting data is very necessary. This is due to the fact that there were several changes to the questionnaire, methodology, processing program, and others compared to the previous year. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out TRAINING OF SPECIAL PRODUCTION BALANCE SURVEY (SKNP/SEEA) Officers in 2021 at BPS Biak Numfor. The participants of this activity are non-organic (partners) within the BPS Biak Numfor.

SKNP/SEEA training at BPS Biak Numfor was held with a face-to-face system by implementing health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19, namely checking temperature and 5M. The number of participants was 5 people, consisting of 4 field enumerators and 1 instructor, namely Hamdani who is the Coordinator of the Regional Accounts and Statistical Analysis of BPS Biak Numfor. The officer training lasts for 1 effective day with a 100% pass rate is proof that people's understanding of statistics is gradually increasing day by day.
