August SAKERNAS Field Enumeration

This activity aims to:

1. Obtain data on the estimated number of the working population, the number of unemployed, and other employment indicators, as well as representative developments at the national, provincial and district/city levels.

2. Collecting information related to the impact of COVID-19 on employment in Indonesia.

Implementation of the 2021 Annual SAKERNAS in Kab. Biak Numfor uses the face-to-face interview method while still paying attention to health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19. The sample target for Sakernas in August 2021 is 44 (forty four) samples of Census Blocks, which are panel census blocks since 2019. The annual SAKERNAS 2021 has a different business process with the previous SAKERNAS where household enumeration is carried out immediately without prior updating. This aims to reduce physical contact with respondents due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases. The total sample households are 436 households which are panel samples from the August 2020 Sakernas and the February 2021 Sakernas. In addition to collecting routine employment data, the 2021 Annual SAKERNAS also collects data on the impact of Covid-19 on employment called the Supplementary Sakernas questionnaire (SAK21 .S). SAK21.S is a website-based survey (CAWI).
